December 5, every child in the Netherlands waiting for gifts from
Sintaklaasa. By tradition Sintaklaas arrives by boat from Spain to the
day of the death of St. Nicholas. Later, he walks through the streets of
Amsterdam, welcoming all children. In Sintaklassa no elves, instead it
is accompanied Black Pits, which help him distribute gifts.
